Key responsibilities
- Coach small group personal training sessions. Run 4 to 5 sessions per day with energy, sharp technique, and a session experience members come back for.
- Manage your member cohort. Take ownership of a group of members through onboarding, regular progress reviews, and consistent support. Coach them on training, nutrition, recovery, and lifestyle habits that lead to lasting results.
- Lead the room. Bring the energy, set the vibe, and uphold the standards that make IGNYT what it is. Presentation, punctuality, preparation, detail. These are the fundamentals.
- Contribute to community and events. Lead and support events, workshops, and the member moments that build our culture in Haverhill.
- Be part of the team. Show up to coaching reviews, contribute to CPD, and back your colleagues in the day to day running of the gym. We pursue better as a team, not as individuals.
Your experience
- A relevant PT or coaching qualification (Level 3 minimum), or actively working towards one with coaching hours behind you.
- Proven ability to engage, motivate, and adapt your coaching across abilities, ages, and goals.
- Genuine energy on the floor and a real interest in people. You enjoy the connection as much as the coaching.
- High standards across your training, your presentation, and the room you walk into. Coachable and proactive.
- Team mentality. You’ve worked in environments where team wins matter. You contribute to the culture and dynamic of the team.
This role is for you if…
- You’re a people person. You enjoy the human side as much as the coaching.
- You love training and you love learning.
- You’re a team player. You bring value, not just presence.
- You care about detail and hold high standards in your own training and presentation.
- You want to be coached, developed, and take on opportunities to grow.
This role isn’t for you if…
- You want to be left alone with no feedback or accountability.
- You see coaching as a transaction, not a relationship.
- You’re happy doing the bare minimum.
- You’re looking for a job, not somewhere to build a career.
Progression and development
- Monthly check-ins, quarterly reviews, and an annual development review to support your growth and progression.
- Ongoing CPD built into the role, not something you have to do in your own time.
- The opportunity to have a higher qualification funded if you don’t already hold it.
- A team that challenges, supports, and invests in your development.
